Clinical Lead Physiotherapist – Specialist in Musculoskeletal, Sports, and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Originally from Ireland, Edel graduated with honours in Physiotherapy from Ulster University and holds a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland—one of only a few pelvic health physiotherapists worldwide with this qualification.

After running her own successful pelvic health practice in Edinburgh for over 12 years, Edel relocated to Dorset in 2023. With more than 17 years of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, pelvic health, sports rehabilitation, and professional sport, she has worked with elite teams like the Scottish Men’s National Cricket Team and the Northern Ireland Women’s National Football Team.

Her expertise spans musculoskeletal and sports injuries, pelvic health, scar therapy, breast care, acupuncture, cancer rehabilitation, and clinical exercise for rehabilitation. Dedicated to providing evidence-based care, Edel stays at the forefront of her field through continuous postgraduate training.

A passionate advocate for pelvic health physiotherapy, Edel ensures women receive specialised care at every stage of life, empowering them to understand their bodies and take control of their wellbeing.

Edel is an affiliate member of the Association of Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapists (POGP), a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), a recommended practitioner for pelvic girdle pain through The Pelvic Partnership, a certified Mummy MOT® Practitioner, and a Holistic Core Restore Coach®.

Outside of work, Edel is a devoted mum to her two young boys and enjoys discovering the best coffee spots, practicing yoga, and running.
