GP Enquiries
Yes, we offer joint injections. Patients will first need to attend a consultation with one of our clinicians so that the doctor can assess whether a joint injection is clinically appropriate, safe, and suitable for their condition.
If the clinician confirms that a joint injection is recommended and there is sufficient time available during the appointment, the injection may be completed at the same visit. Alternatively, a separate follow-up appointment can be arranged for the procedure to be carried out.
Please note that joint injections are subject to an additional charge, separate from the consultation fee.
Blood Tests
The timeframe for receiving blood test results will depend on the type of test being carried out.
For blood tests requested by one of our in-house GPs, results will be reviewed by the requesting clinician once available. Following review, patients may be contacted directly with the results, advised by email or phone, or recommended to book a follow-up appointment if further discussion, investigation or treatment is required.
For blood tests requested by an external clinician, results will be returned to the referring clinician for review and any appropriate follow-up.
Blood test appointments are carried out by one of our trained healthcare professionals and usually take around 10 minutes.
During the appointment, we may ask a few brief questions to confirm your details and ensure it is safe and appropriate to proceed with the blood test.
Once the sample has been taken, it will be sent to the relevant laboratory for analysis. Results will then be returned to the referring clinician for review and any appropriate follow-up.
Blood Test Pricing
– Phlebotomy only (Nationwide Pathology appointments): £40
– Blood tests and laboratory analysis: Blood tests and laboratory analysis: Pricing varies depending on the tests requested and will be confirmed once the referral or blood test request has been reviewed.
Yes. The Clinic @78 works with Nationwide Pathology as a satellite clinic for blood test sample collection appointments. Patients who have arranged testing through Nationwide Pathology may be offered appointments at our clinic for sample collection if this location is convenient for them.
Results from these tests are processed through Nationwide Pathology and returned to the requesting clinician or provider for review.
Yes, we can arrange blood tests requested by another clinician. We simply require a copy of the referral or blood test request from the clinician requesting the tests. This can be emailed to info@clinic78.co.uk, and our team will arrange a blood test appointment at the clinic.
Once the results are available, they will be returned to the requesting clinician for review and any appropriate follow-up.
All blood tests require a referral from a clinician. This is because blood test results need to be reviewed in the appropriate clinical context to determine whether any further investigations, treatment, or follow-up may be required. This helps ensure patients receive safe and appropriate care.
If you do not already have a referral, you can book an appointment with one of our GPs. If blood tests are clinically appropriate, the GP can arrange these for you and review and communicate the results with you once available.

Dermatology & Skin
Suitability for removal depends on the type, size and location of the lesion, as well as the most appropriate treatment setting. All lesions require assessment by a clinician before any procedure can be arranged.
Some lesions may not be suitable for removal within the clinic and may require onward referral to an appropriate specialist service.
Yes, we offer minor skin procedures for selected lesions. Patients require an assessment first, where appropriate treatment options will then be discussed.
Please note, some lesions may require onward referral depending on the findings, which our doctors can provide if necessary.
We do not currently offer a formal mole mapping service.
However, our GPs can assess individual moles or skin lesions of concern during a mole check or dermatology appointment and will advise if any further monitoring, investigation or referral is recommended.
Our in-house GPs offer both mole checks and skin lesion assessments. These appointments can be booked online or over the phone.
• Mole checks: £50
• Skin lesion assessments: Booked as a 20-minute GP consultation at £98

The price for a 30 minute new patient appointment is £147

Our GPs can assess sexual health concerns during a standard GP consultation and advise which tests or investigations may be appropriate.
Where clinically appropriate, testing can be arranged through the clinic following the consultation. Please note that laboratory testing is charged separately in addition to the appointment fee.

Weight Loss Appointments
We offer a dedicated Weight Management Clinic at The Clinic @78.
To ensure weight loss treatment is safe and appropriate, all patients are required to complete a patient questionnaire prior to booking. This is reviewed by a clinician to determine whether the programme may be suitable.
If appropriate, patients will be invited to attend an initial appointment with both a GP and Healthcare Assistant (HCA).
Where clinically appropriate, patients may be offered treatment with medications including Mounjaro or Wegovy as part of a structured weight management programme.
Patients will receive ongoing support through monthly face to face appointments and interim telephone check-ins to monitor progress, treatment response and any side effects.
Prescriptions
Once we receive a prescription request, our administration team will forward it to the relevant clinician for review. After the clinician has assessed the request, our team will contact the patient to confirm whether the repeat prescription has been authorised.
If approved, a £25 administration fee will be taken for processing the repeat prescription, after which the doctor will issue the prescription directly to the pharmacy or a signed paper prescription can be left in clinic for collection. Please note that this fee covers the completion and processing of the prescription only; separate charges for the medication will still apply from the pharmacy.
In some cases, the doctor may require a consultation before further repeat prescriptions can be issued. If this is necessary, our administration team will contact you to arrange an appointment.
Yes, you can request a repeat prescription online, provided you have previously been assessed by the clinician who originally issued the prescription.
To make a request, please complete our online Repeat Prescription Request Form. Your request will then be reviewed by the appropriate clinician.
Please note that repeat prescriptions are not approved automatically and are subject to clinical review. In some cases, a further consultation or medication review may be required before a prescription can be issued.
Repeat prescriptions can only be requested if you have previously had a consultation with one of our doctors and the medication has already been prescribed by them.
To request a repeat prescription, patients should complete our repeat prescription request form. Once submitted, the request will be reviewed by the relevant GP. If approved, our administration team will contact you to arrange the £25 prescription processing fee. Once payment has been received, the doctor will either:
• Send the prescription directly to the pharmacy, or
• Prepare a signed paper prescription for collection from the clinic
Please note that the £25 fee covers the review and processing of the prescription only. Any medication charges from the pharmacy are separate and payable directly to the pharmacy.
In some cases, the doctor may require a further consultation before authorising additional repeat prescriptions. If this is necessary, our administration team will contact you to arrange an appointment.
