Private GP services
We understand that getting access to your regular GP (General Practitioner) can be tricky but with the Clinic you’ll enjoy same day appointments with our experienced local GPs from as little as £98.
Delivered from our state of the art medical facility in the heart of Westbourne, you can get consultations either as a one-off appointment, or as regularly as you need. We offer more time than NHS GPs to discuss your concerns, examine you and make an appropriate management plan. This will not interfere at all with your access to the NHS and you do not need to live locally.
You can benefit from swift diagnostic tests such as blood tests, ultrasound scans and more. If needed onward referral to our in-house multi-disciplinary team of specialists can be made, and you can get trouble-free prescriptions from our affiliated pharmacy – Arrowedge.

(Also known as steroid injections or cortisone injections.)
Steroid and local anesthetic injections into or around joints are an effective short to medium term treatment option for a wide variety of painful musculoskeletal problems, including:
Ingrown toenails can be extremely painful, and limit your sporting, work and social lives.
GPs at the Clinic@78 who are experienced in minor surgery provide definitive surgical treatment of ingrown toenails under local anesthetic. This procedure will cure the problem permanently in about 70-80% of cases. The procedure is done under local anesthetic and takes about 30 minutes.
Consultation: £90 Procedure and aftercare: £295
Cervical smear tests are a straightforward procedure to screen for abnormal cell changes within the cervix. These may indicate cancer or precancerous cells.
Smear tests can detect these changes early, which means that, with treatment, we can often prevent cancer.
We recommend UK women aged 25-49 have a smear test every three years, and every five years for those aged 50-64.
See a doctor as soon as possible if you notice any new symptoms, such as abnormal vaginal bleeding (bleeding after sex, or between periods), regardless of when you had your last smear.
Although cervical cancer is rare in women under 25, it’s important never to ignore symptoms, whatever your age.
The Clinic@78 delivers discreet sexual health checkups. We have a wealth of sexual health and safe sex knowledge to provide, and no question is too small.
We can swiftly arrange routine tests with rapid results and if required we can also provide treatment prescriptions.
Rest easy with our guidance on all types of contraception, including our long-acting options such as implants and coils. We work with you to find what suits you best, according to your preferences and medical history.
Implants
The contraceptive implant is a small device that goes under your skin, in your upper arm, to prevent you from getting pregnant. It does this by releasing a little bit of the hormone progestogen every day slowly.
Coils
At The Clinic@78, we offer two types of coils: The Intrauterine Device (IUD) and The Intrauterine System (IUS).
The IUD does not have hormones in it, whereas the IUS does. The hormonal coil can give you lighter and less painful periods, though you may experience hormonal side effects.
GPs at the Clinic@78 who are experienced in minor surgery provide treatments to remove unwanted moles and skin lesions. Treatments include:
Cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen): This procedure is suitable for skin tags, warts, and small benign skin lesions, takes just a few minutes, and has virtually no down time.
Consultation and procedure: £140
Curettage and cautery under local anesthetic: This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that involves removing the superficial parts of the mole from the surface of the skin and cauterising the base. It is suitable for small, benign moles and skin lesions.
Consultation: £90 Procedure, including aftercare and laboratory analysis: £395.
Surgical excision under local anesthetic: Full surgical removal of a mole. This involves making a small incision around the lesion, and then closing the wound with stitches. Treatment takes about 30 minutes.
Consultation: £90 Procedure, including aftercare and laboratory analysis: £395.
Other Common causes of lumps and bumps are lipomas (fatty lumps) and sebaceous cysts. These can sometimes cause pain or functional impairment and can be removed in the same fashion.
Consultation: £90 Procedure, including aftercare and laboratory analysis: £395.
Prostate enlargement is very common, particularly as men get older. The condition is usually benign, and not medically serious. It can cause symptoms such as an increased urge to urinate, urinary incontinence, or struggling to urinate.
Don’t just put up with these symptoms. Our lifestyle advice and treatments can make a big difference.
These symptoms can sometimes be an indication of cancer, so it’s important to get them checked by a doctor immediately. Especially if you notice any amount of blood in your urine.
If you have any concerns, we can arrange a straightforward prostate examination. If required, we will also arrange further tests and investigations.

FAQs
Please bring any paperwork from outpatient appointments or test results regarding your problem. We don’t have access to your NHS records. It would also be helpful to know if you are taking any medications or have any allergies.
For your convenience, we offer appointments from 20 minutes or longer, in which you can address more than one issue. However, depending on the complexity of your concern, we may recommend booking a separate visit to discuss further problems. It is worth mentioning all your concerns in your initial consultation to determine whether they might be related.
If we have previously prescribed ongoing medication for you, you should have no problem ordering a repeat prescription. However, if this medication was prescribed elsewhere, we may ask you to book an appointment. This allows our GPs to determine whether it is still suitable for you.
The choice is yours. You can remain registered with an NHS doctor while attending appointments and receiving treatment privately.
Yes. You do not need to be registered with an NHS doctor to book and attend a private GP appointment.
No, we welcome patients of all ages at The Clinic @ 78.
