We run a GP-led women’s health clinic where our in-house clinicians have expertise in helping women with the perimenopause, menopause and pre-menstrual syndrome, offering in-clinic appointments to suit your needs.

Dr. Emily Monks & Dr. Jenny Field are committed to delivering comprehensive women’s healthcare. They have completed BMS training and worked in a specialist menopause clinic for over 2 years. They will listen to your concerns, discuss your symptoms, and will utilise the latest evidence-based research to develop a tailored treatment plan that addresses your unique needs, enabling you to maintain your desired lifestyle.

Our 20-minute appointments allow adequate time to discuss one concern. We are happy to discuss multiple or more complex concerns in our longer appointments
and recommend an additional 10/20 minutes as needed.

    New patient appointment – £196 

    Our New Patient Appointment offers a comprehensive and in-depth experience that focuses on understanding your unique symptoms and concerns. During this appointment, you will have ample time with our experienced doctors to discuss your individual situation, ensuring a thorough understanding of your menopause journey.

    The appointment includes:

    • A detailed review of your symptoms and concerns: We will dedicate time to listen to your experiences and address any questions or worries you may have.
    • Discussion on lifestyle factors: Our doctors will provide advice and recommendations tailored to your specific needs, ensuring a positive and informed menopause experience.
    • A personalised treatment plan: Based on the information gathered, we will work together to develop a customised treatment plan that supports you throughout your menopause journey.
    • Appointment duration is up to 40 minutes, which includes completion of consultation note, letter(s) and prescriptions if relevant.

    New patient appointment – £196

    Our New Patient Appointment for Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is designed to provide a comprehensive and personalised experience tailored to your unique needs. During this appointment, you will have the opportunity to discuss your symptoms and concerns with our experienced doctors, who will help you develop a better understanding of your PMS and create a tailored treatment plan.

    The appointment includes:

    • A thorough review of your symptoms and concerns: We will take the time to listen to your experiences, addressing any questions or worries you may have.
    • Discussion on lifestyle factors: Our doctors will provide guidance and advice tailored to your individual needs, helping you manage PMS symptoms and maintain the lifestyle you want.
    • A personalised treatment plan: Based on the information gathered during your appointment, we will work together to develop a customised treatment plan that addresses your specific needs and goals.
    • Appointment duration is up to 40 minutes, which includes completion of consultation note, letter(s) and prescriptions if relevant.

    • Ultrasound scans: We provide state-of-the-art ultrasound imaging services to help diagnose and monitor various women’s health conditions, such as pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding.
    • Coil fittings: Our experienced medical professionals can provide coil fitting services for those seeking long-term contraception, managing heavy menstrual bleeding, or for use as the progesterone part of HRT.
    • Pelvic floor physiotherapist: Our dedicated pelvic floor physiotherapist can help you address and manage issues related to pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction.
    • Gynaecologist: Our experienced gynaecologist is available for consultations, diagnosis, and treatment of various gynaecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and endometriosis, ovarian cysts and prolapse.

Dr Emily Monks

Private GP

Emily graduated from the University College Dublin in 2004. After initial training in hospital medicine, including Endocrinology and Elderly Care, and a move to England, she qualified as a GP in 2012. During her GP training, she developed an interest in Mental Health and Women’s Health, completing the Diploma in Medicine for the Elderly (DME), Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH), Obstetrics & Gynaecology (DRCOG). She is trained in the fitting and removal of contraceptive implants. She has significant experience in General Practice, having worked in local NHS practices for over 10 years.

Emily is passionate about providing holistic care to patients. She places significant importance on listening to the individual patient and working together to address concerns. She values continuity of care very highly. She has seen the impact of menopause on her patients and the difference a personalised consultation and treatment plan can make to quality of life. This inspired her to pursue further training in menopause care.

Emily lives in Bournemouth with her husband and three children. In her spare time she enjoys singing in a local choir and keeping active with racquetball, the gym and pilates.

Dr Jenny Field

MBBS BSc, MRCP, MRCGP, DTM&H, DFSRH

Dr Jenny Field graduated from Imperial College London in 2005 and gained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians whilst working in hospital medicine. She has since been a qualified GP for over 12 years and now works as an NHS GP as well as being a GP appraiser. She has always been interested in women’s health, gaining her Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and has gained additional qualifications through the British Menopause society whilst working for a specialist private menopause clinic for over 2 and a half years.

She is keen on a holistic approach to managing menopausal symptoms and feels that it is important to address lifestyle factors, alongside medical treatments. Jenny is keen to empower women to make informed decisions about treatments based on available evidence.
In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, sailing and spending time outdoors with her husband and 3 children. Time permitting, she also enjoys open water swimming.
